At the foot of the Taurus Mountains lies the vineyard of Fevzi the vine grower, unchanged for sixty years. After the September rain, a little chameleon climbs a grapevine there. As it rearranges the crystals under its skin, its color changes. But whatever color it turns, it is still the same chameleon.
"My son, the only thing that never changes is change. Grapes turn into must, must into molasses, molasses into a feast day. Not everything that sours rots. Some of it becomes medicine…"
The chameleon rests on the branch, its eyes turning both ways. Carry on when you are ready.
